Planning a trip to Paris? Choosing the right hotel can elevate your experience or completely ruin it. Whether you’re looking for a chic boutique hotel, a budget-friendly option, or a place that feels like home for an extended stay, I've got you covered. I visited the city 3 times before relocating here and have stayed at, or had friends and family stay at, countless hotels.
Here are my top picks to suit every traveler’s needs.
1. FIAP Paris: Budget-Friendly and Vibrant

If you’re traveling on a budget, FIAP Jean Monnet in the 14th arrondisment is a fantastic choice. Perfect for solo travelers, students, friends, or young couples this hostel style offers a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
Why You’ll Love It:
Price: The price is the big draw here, if you are trying to do Paris on a budget the FIAP might be perfect for you, rates even include breakfast which is an added perk!
Met new people: If you're a solo traveller looking to meet new people FIAP is also a good option for you! They regularly host events for guests!
Flexibility: There are rooms with 1 to 6 beds and all rooms have ensuite bathrooms. Which means if you are in a private room, you have a private bathroom. Even when sharing you are sharing with less people than hostels with communal bathrooms.

For longer stays or travellers who prefer the flexibility of a kitchen, the Citadines chain is a standout choice. Their aparthotels offer fully equipped studios and apartments across various prime locations in Paris. I personally have stayed in 2 locations on different trips to Paris, the one in Montparnasse in the 14th and the one in Trocadero in the 16th. Both locations were wonderful but with the knolwedge I have now, I would reccomend one of the cheaper and better located options like the Republique locaton in the 11th.
